Annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance

AMVETS Post 312 Vice Cmdr. Larry Conard, releasing the wreath into the water, in memory of all who gave their lives in the American military during a Wednesday ceremony remembering the 1941 attacks on Pearl Harbor.

NORTH PORT — North Port’s AMVETS Post 312 will host its annual Pearl Harbor Remembrance ceremony at 11 a.m. Thursday. The event will feature a prayer by Chaplain Marty Wood, followed by the singing of the “National Anthem” and the posting of the colors.

After the prayer and posting of the colors, Merchant Marine and World War II veteran Arthur Card will share his experiences.
