It was 1:30 on a Thursday afternoon. It was a warm, sunny day in Punta Gorda. There was no fog, no rain, no wind to speak of. Mother’s Day was the only thing on the horizon.
Traffic wasn’t awful at the intersection of Henry and Shreve, a four-way stop with a right-turn yield from Shreve onto Henry and a pedestrian/bicycle crosswalk.
