One brave soul stood in front of a crowd and explained in horrifying detail exactly what it felt like to be shot at by the enemy when he was just 19 years old. He didn’t know at the time if that day would be his last.

But Loren Pittman, life member and post commander and chaplain of American Legion Post 159 in Venice, would live to see many, many more days.
