NORTH PORT — So far this year, the city’s Building Department conducted 16,345 inspections — that’s 1,345 more than officials anticipated.
“I originally predicted 15,000 inspections,” said Bryan Holland, North Port Building official. “We had an extremely productive month of November. The Building division conducted 1,400 inspections. This included 525 building, 180 mechanical, 212 electrical, 243 plumbing and 240 zoning inspections. This brings our total inspections for the calendar year to 16,345. That beat last year’s permits, which were in the 15,000s.”
