NORTH PORT — Although Commissioner Cheryl Cook got her way, she wasn’t pleased with the outcome after helping create a city Community Economic Development Advisory Board.
During a recent commission meeting, Cook again brought up the need to replace an individual from the tourism industry with a North Port homeowner’s association member. She said taking away the HOA member weighs the board “too heavily to business.”
