NORTH PORT — Bayflite helicopter employees in gray flight uniforms walked briskly out of the City Commission chambers just minutes after Monday’s meeting began.

They left after commissioners, slated to discuss an update on Bayflite in North Port and potential alternative sites for the operation, pulled the item from the agenda in a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Linda Yates dissenting.
