ENGLEWOOD — Authorities still are investigating a recent alleged home invasion that left a man beaten and his dog stabbed, and both recovering from their injuries.
According to the Charlotte County Sheriff Office, the victim told police that at about 9:44 p.m. June 24, an unknown white male in his 20s with medium-length dark hair, which might have had a blonde streak in the front, forced entry through a kitchen window accessible through the lanai of the one-bedroom apartment at Riverside Drive. The victim was in bed watching television. The suspect stabbed the victim’s dog and beat the victim, breaking several facial bones and knocking him unconscious, a sheriff’s report said.
