On the sixth anniversary of the incident that took Alex Teehee’s life, his family still is working diligently to find closure and justice, and has set up a fundraising site to raise money to continue looking into Alex’s death.

A 2006 North Port High School graduate, Alex, 20, was killed just days after moving to Charlotte Harbor from North Port. He was struck by a vehicle while walking on the edge of Sibley Bay Street around 11 p.m. July 13, 2008. Suffering from severe head trauma and other internal injuries and bruises, he was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers. The father of two — Kaden, now 9, and Eli, now 8 — was pronounced dead 15 hours later. No one has been convicted in his death.
