The details may not be solidified nor a purchase price announced, but it appears Sarasota County is on the verge of purchasing the Myakka River Oyster Bar, according to a parks official.

The purchase would secure another public property along a river designated by the state as Wild and Scenic. Whether the restaurant remains open under county ownership is not yet clear.
