Certain colors catch the eye in an otherwise green landscape — red or pink for example.
While there may be many red or pink flowers on ornamental plants in our area, red or pink foliage color is harder to find. However, the plant known as the ti plant, or cordyline terminalis, provides a red and/or pink splash of foliage color that creates a truly tropical landscape effect. Not appropriate for everywhere, the proper placement for the ti plant can brighten up an all-green landscape palette with color and pizazz.
