SARASOTA COUNTY — Parents, help your teens become better and safer drivers through the Sarasota County Sheriff’s two-day Teen Driver Challenge. This is a hands-on course designed to give teens the experience they need to drive safely under the supervision and training of SCSO staff.
The free, 12-hour course is offered to students with a valid learner’s permit (six months’ experience required) or valid operator’s license. For parents of students with only a learner’s permit, a vehicle will be provided at the driving range on the day of the practical exercise. Parents will not be allowed to stay during training.
