Area ‘angels’ help save man

PORT CHARLOTTE — Ona resident Bill Zahner, 64, admits he likely would not be alive today if it wasn’t for a series of fortunate circumstances and the men he called his “heroes.”

On Saturday, Zahner, his wife, Rosemary, 63, and some friends were eating at Perkins Family Restaurant and Bakery in Murdock when he noticed that his left hand was beginning to shake and he started losing strength in his arm, he said.
