NORTH PORT — With a three-week, looming deadline, two local Warm Mineral Springs-related advocate groups have joined forces to add a referendum question to the Aug. 26 ballot.

Monday, Friends of Warm Mineral Springs and Warm Mineral Springs Patrons Association Inc. members met to discuss filing a petition for an amendment to the city’s charter. Tuesday, the groups notified the city of their intent.
