Longtime Southwest Florida weatherman Jim Reif died late Monday, NBC2 announced. He was 61.
Reif, NBC2’s director of meteorology, had suffered traumatic injuries after falling off his bicycle and hitting his head Sunday in Estero. He was taken to Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, where he was placed in a medical coma. He succumbed to his injuries at 10:38 p.m. Monday.
