SARASOTA COUNTY — Janeene Jones, the so-called “Black Widow” of North Port, pleaded no contest Monday to two counts of solicitation to commit murder, bringing her 2013 murder-for-hire plot to a close.
Jones, 50, is expected to be sentenced on June 17. Jones faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 10 years for each count, but the sentence could possibly be served concurrently, depending on the recommendation from the state, according to 12th Circuit Judge Donna Padar Berlin.
