SARASOTA COUNTY — A developer with a unique vision — senior care near church campuses — is building its first two facilities in North Port and Sarasota.

The developer, Alabama-based Omega Communities LLC, aims to create assisted-living and memory-care campuses on land bordering churches looking to expand their outreach and make full use of their assets.
