SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County commissioners on Tuesday unanimously voted to sell their half of Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa to the city of North Port, after the two boards recently failed to reach a consensus to find a long-term operator for the 81-acre natural attraction they jointly own.
County commissioners directed staff to craft a letter outlining their terms of the sale, which included giving the city an 18-month financing option and a deadline of Aug. 20 to respond. The City Commission does not meet in August, but can call a special meeting to deal with the issue.
