NORTH PORT — Natalie DiMauro is marking the first anniversary of her North Port Yoga Center by offering a variety of classes she says will fit yoga students of virtually every age and ability level.

“We’re starting kids’ yoga from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. for six weeks (on Saturdays),” DiMauro said. “It’s for kids from 4 to 7 years of age and costs $60. We’ve developed a class that keeps them interested. We practice yoga poses, they do breathing activities, sing songs, take imaginary yoga adventures and create animal shapes with their bodies. It’s really a lot of fun for the kids. We’ve found that meditation exercises help them, especially if they’ve got attention-deficit disorder.”
