SARASOTA COUNTY — Steven Brown and his 12-year-old daughter Kayla have started a new business called Star Sniper, which aims to serve as an incubator for entrepreneurs, artists and inventors.

Star Sniper initially consults with anyone with a concept — an invention, an idea for a song, a plan for the next fast-food chain — for as much as several hundred dollars, or as little as no charge at all. The next step is to make that concept a reality. The company’s in-house think tank analyzes the concept, then puts together a project packet and a qualified team dedicated to bringing the concept to fruition.
