NORTH PORT — Seventeen years of experience coupled with extensive municipal law knowledge gave Fort Myers-based lawyer Mark Moriarty the edge over two other candidates for North Port’s first in-house city attorney. Following one-on-one interviews with commissioners Tuesday, Moriarty was chosen as the man for the job.
Moriarty, 47, was not present during the selection process, but was informed of the commission’s decision late Tuesday afternoon.
