Evelyn Baszto, 89, a longtime resident of Venice, Fla., died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013.

She was a member of Epiphany Cathedral. Evelyn and her husband Ted were the owners and operators of the Warm Mineral Springs Motel from 1973 to 1989.

She is survived by her sons, Ted Jr. of Venice, and Mark of Denver, Colo.; brothers, Robert Rogers of Sarasota, Fla., and Victor Rogers of Victorville, Calif.; and four grandchildren, Chris Baszto of Denver, and Ted Baszto III, Barron Baszto and Ashley Baszto, all of Venice. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Ted.

The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Epiphany Cathedral, with burial to follow at Sarasota Memorial Park.

Arrangements are by Ewing Funeral Home.
