Thomas J. Infante, 71, of North Port, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013.

He was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Greenwich, Conn., to Michael C. and Josephine (nee Musca) Infante.

Thomas served in the Army Reserve National Guard from 1961 until 1965. He worked in construction and excavation, and also built several custom homes under his company East Coast Construction in Connecticut. Thomas was also a retired member of the International Union of Operating Engineers local 478. After moving to Florida, he worked off and on as a heavy equipment operator, and also for Gator Water in North Port.

He is survived by his wife of seven years, Sandra L (nee Voelker); his three children, Thomas (Lisa) Infante of Shelton, Conn., Leigh (Gerald) Kutz of Darien, Conn., and Richard (Theresa) Infante of Monroe, Conn; 11 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; his twin brother, Michael N. Infante; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.
