June Louise Leggett Moshano, 85, formerly of Ransomville, N.Y., died peacefully Saturday, May 10, 2014, at her winter home in North Port, Fla.

She was born July 13, 1928, the daughter of Lawrence and Pearl Leggett.

June was a graduate of Wilson Central School in New York, and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the State University of New York at Brockport, N.Y., in 1949. She retired from teaching in 1980 from the Wayne Central School District in Ontario, N.Y.

You were an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Whether she was tap-dancing as a child, or jitterbugging with Hank, she will always have a song in her heart. May your music never end.

June is survived by her husband of 66 years, Anthony “Hank” Moshano; son, Paul (Marianne) Moshano of Sodus, N.Y.; daughter, Mary (Norm) Amos of North Port; and younger brother, William “Hoppy” (Deanna) Leggett of Ransomville. She also will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her older brother, Robert (Betty Lou) Leggett of Ransomville.

A celebration of life will be planned for her Florida winter home in the fall of 2014. Her ashes will be interred at her summer home in Star Lake, N.Y., with a pending service in Ransomville. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to Hospice care, in memory of June Moshano.
