Report: Four teens injured in two-vehicle crash

Four teenagers were taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle crash in South Venice Saturday night.

According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Christopher Paul Somers, 16, of Englewood, was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger north on Tarpon Road around 8 p.m. when he allegedly ran the stop sign at the intersection with Flamingo Road. His vehicle was struck by a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee heading west on Flamingo.
