Offensive explosion gives Pirates district win

PORT CHARLOTTE – After the Port Charlotte High School girls soccer team blew a three-goal lead, it took the departure of their captain for the Pirates to finally wake up.

Playing down a player, the Pirates exploded offensively to blow the game open late to win a wild one, 9-4 over Cypress Lake in a District 3A-13 contest at the Pirate Cove.
