Glavine poised to lead Huskies

SUN PHOTO BY KATHERINE GODINA Northeastern's Mike Glavine has been named the next head coach of Husky baseball after current head coach Neil McPhee retires after this season.

PORT CHARLOTTE — This is Neil McPhee’s final season as coach of Northeastern, and its also, sort of, the first for Mike Glavine.

Glavine — the brother of soon-to-be-hall-of-fame pitcher Tom Glavine — is in line to take over the program next year, but McPhee is already handing over most of the reins.
