PORT CHARLOTTE—The Tampa Bay Rays are only going to break camp with 25 players, but manager Joe Maddon wants to get a good look at everyone on the 40-man roster.

Maddon told everyone on the first day that no matter where they start the season, they might eventually make their way in the majors. Whether it’s due to injury or ineffectiveness, the Rays will eventually need to make a change on the 25-man roster, and Maddon said the Rays will look to Triple-A Durham before they look outside of the organization.
