Rival QBs open season settling into their roles

PUNTA GORDA — Brennan Simms is still the same softspoken kid he was when he was a junior varsity quarterback unexpectedly called on to start for North Port High School last season.
But Simms, now the starting quarterback for Charlotte, doesn’t have to say too much.
