Pool exercise: Safe place to begin healing

When injured it’s difficult to find exercise and activity that gets us back on our feet. However, exercising in water puts us in a near zero gravity environment. Aquatic therapy actually unloads body weight.

That means there’s little impact or jarring on the body’s joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons or bones. Up to 90 percent of body weight can be eliminated by being submerged in water.
