Rob Kincart and Robert Clancey share a laugh at the ribbon cutting announcing the opening of the A-C-T/Polk State Corporate College’s Sustainability & Compliance Institute and A-C-T University at A-C-T’s Technology Center. The laugh was over a $10 bet the two had made which building would open first: The Clear Springs campus main building, or the technology center at A-C-T. Kincart lost and gave Clancey his winnings, $10 in pennies. Clancey is the Director of the Corporate College.

It was wall-to-wall people and wall-to-wall excitement Thursday, March 6 at A-C-T Environmental and Infrastructure. Not only was there a teaming up with The Greater Bartow Chamber of Commerce by A-C-T (American Compliance Technologies) hosting the Taste of the Chamber, more important, the gathering was to celebrate — with a grand opening and ribbon cutting — the opening of the Polk State Corporate College Sustainability & Compliance Institute at A-C-T’s Technology Center; events that had been rescheduled from Jan. 9 when extreme inclement weather had necessitated cancellation.

The partnership with Polk State College is an important one said A-C-T president and founder, Rob Kincart, as it provides the opportunity and ability to teach and train the workforce.
