The DeSoto County School Board got a glimpse of the progress of this year’s summer school students, and the results were encouraging.
“We had some of our third grade students who were not going to be promoted, have now been. We will know even better because some of them will be taking the test again in the form of the SAC-10,” Superintendent Adrian Cline said. “The SAC-10 (School Advisory Council) is a different alternative for third grade promotion. Some of them are going to be testing almost up through the beginning of the school year with hopes of getting them promoted from third to fourth grade.”
