In conjunction with National Voter Registration Day, Sept. 26, the DeSoto County Democratic Executive Committee held a non-partisan voter registration drive. The drive consisted of two events and focused on younger prospective voters.

The first event was held on Sept. 26 at the DeSoto campus of South Florida State College. A voter registration booth was set up in the main lobby of the college. Interested students were able to receive registration information and complete registration forms. DEC members participating in this event were Caroline Cloy, Skyler Gallimore, Jeff Griffis, Shameka Hollimon, Grace Martin, Irene Pooser, Michael Pooser, Pat Schudel and Colleen Spangler. The DEC thank Yesenia Mott and her staff for their assistance.
