Arcadia’s nearly decade-long wait for a rental car company to return to town has ended with Enterprise Rent-A-Car setting up shop at the DeSoto Auto Mall on State Road 70.

It’s a homecoming of sorts for Enterprise. The national rental car company left Arcadia in the middle of the last decade after opening a rental service here in 1997. Hertz Rental Car Co. stepped in to fill the void with a rental location at the Ford dealership. Hertz departed by the end of the decade, however.
