Mary Keller sat in the lobby of the new-old Wyvern Hotel in Punta Gorda, chatting about the path she had taken to her role as its marketing director.

It was about an hour or so before the ribbon would be cut on the “new” Wyvern, and her thoughts turned to the “old” Wyvern, the one that opened in 2008 and was the first big commercial building to go up following the Hurricane Charley haymaker in 2004.
