With another hurricane season just around the corner in June, Punta Gorda continues to hammer out the details of seawall replacement for Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles residents.
For PGI, the seawall project calls for the replacement of 50,400 linear feet of seawall with an approximate total cost of $30 million. The city’s current plans for seawall replacement will cost residents an additional $150 to $200 per year in property taxes.
