As Florida residents gear up for summer vacations, the Department of Highway Safety & Motor Vehicles is urging motorists to make sure their vehicles are in good repair to ensure a safe trip.

“Before heading out on the road, make sure you and your vehicle are travel-ready by checking your tires, checking for recalls and always buckling up,” said DHSMV Executive Director Terry L. Rhodes in a press release. “There are more travelers on Florida’s roads than ever before, so it’s critical to remember to slow down, stay cool and be safe.”
