Republican candidates for the U.S. House of Representatives District 17 seat tout many of the same values but come from widely different backgrounds.

Bill Akins, State Rep. Julio Gonzalez, House District 74, and State Sen. Greg Steube, Senate District 23, squared off at a forum hosted by the Peace River Federated Republican Women’s Forum at the Isle Yacht Club Wednesday.
