Venice trio charged in multiple burglaries

VENICE — Three Venice area residents were charged in connection with a string of burglaries that spanned three months across the city, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office, totaling thousands of dollars of items including electronics and jewelry.

Arrested were Zachary Johnson, 20, of the 3000 block of Sunset Beach Drive; Tiffany Meyers, 26, of the 2100 block of Woodmere Drive; and James Moore, 25, of the 2200 block of Woodmere Road, all of Venice. Johnson is charged with two counts each of tampering with evidence, accessory after the fact and grand theft; Meyers is charged with two counts each of tampering with evidence, accessory after the fact, dealing in stolen property and one count of providing false information to a pawn broker; meanwhile Moore is charged with six counts of grand theft.
