Police search for BMX Park vandals
NORTH PORT — Police are investigating vandalism at the city’s BMX Bike Park on Jan. 18 that closed the facility and its bathrooms to the public, according to a report.
A 22-year-old male employee discovered the damage at the park, located on the 6200 block of Kenwood Drive at Highland Ridge Park, and called North Port police. According to the report, sinks and toilets in the newly painted bathrooms were damaged, and the employee reported that witnesses saw roughly 30 people leaving the park prior to the vandalism.
