A discussion over the proposed lease of two new sanitation trucks took an ugly turn Tuesday as council members sparred over responsible spending.
Mayor Alice Frierson and Deputy Mayor Joe Fink engaged in a tense back-and-forth after Frierson chided fellow council members over spending funds not included in the 2013/14 budget. At the end of the lease term, the city could purchase the vehicles for $1 each.
