PUNTA GORDA — In the ongoing push to make this city the best place to live, work and play, officials are toying with the idea of installing two adult playgrounds along the city’s popular pathways.

At the City Council’s regular meeting at 9 a.m. today at City Hall, 100 E. Retta Esplanade, the council will review and discuss a proposal from City Manager Howard Kunik to purchase $25,000 worth of weightless, handicap- accessible equipment for the playgrounds — or outdoor gyms, as they commonly are referred to in fitness parlance.
