PORT CHARLOTTE — Detectives are looking for two people in connection with a shooting incident that took place yesterday in the area of Azalea Avenue and Ridgeway Street in Port Charlotte. Detectives are looking for Craig Steven Barra Jr., 24, and his wife, Alyssa Paige Fisher, 18, in connection with the incident in which shots were fired into a vehicle parked near a residence in the 200 block of Azalea Avenue. At about 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Sheriff’s Office received several calls reporting that someone had fired two shots in the area of a residence. Witnesses reported seeing Fisher driving a newer model silver compact car with Barra in the passenger seat on Azalea approaching the residence. Barra is alleged to have fired two shots toward the house, striking a vehicle that was parked at the corner of the home. The resident, who was at home with three children, checked to make sure the children were safe and went outside in time to see the vehicle with Fisher and Barra inside. Both Fisher and Barra are known to the victim. After the shots were fired, the vehicle sped away from the area east on Azalea Avenue.

Nobody was injured in the incident. Deputies, detectives and crime scene technicians cordoned off the area, interviewed witnesses and gathered available evidence. The results of the investigation were sufficient to lead to several potential charges against both Barra and Fisher. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Craig Steven Barra Jr. or Alyssa Paige Fisher is asked to please call the Sheriff’s Office at 941-639-2101, or Crime Stoppers at 800-780-TIPS (8477).
