Area family to open new eatery

MURDOCK — After 34 years with the Ford Motor Co. in Michigan, Brian Bourlier was ready to retire, but not to recline in an easy chair. At 53, he wanted to try something else, although he wasn’t interested in the demands of starting his own business.

It was 2007 and his eldest son, David, also was looking for a change — a way out of a collapsing construction industry. David began looking into franchises and discovered Buffalo Wings & Rings. Although father and son had zero experience in the restaurant business, Brian decided to buy a three-pack — one franchise for each of his sons.
