MURDOCK — A woman was seriously injured Tuesday morning in a rollover crash in which she briefly was trapped in her minivan. The vehicle was so heavily damaged, rescuers had to peel back the roof to reach the trapped woman, according to Charlotte County Fire/EMS spokeswoman Dee Hawkins-Garland.

“If she hadn’t been wearing a seat belt, she wouldn’t have survived the crash,” Hawkins-Garland said.
