Deborah “Debby” Snyder, a DeSoto County School Board Member, was recognized as a Certified Board Member on June 13, in Tampa at the Annual Summer Conference sponsored by the Florida School Boards Association.
Snyder earned this distinction by completing a minimum of 96 hours of training in 12 areas focusing on the governance roles and responsibilities of school board members. The Certified Board Member Program is a voluntary training program for individual school board members and is offered by the Florida School Boards Association.
