At a recent Charlotte Stone Crabs game at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, the parks beerman, Dave Cabott, presented a check in the amount of $2,560 to the Dollars for Mammograms program. The funds included all the tips Cabott collected during the game, along with donations made by some friends and family members in support of his mission, according to his sister, Denise Dull.
Punta Gorda has a new certified aging-in-place specialist: Carlene Zeches of Z Interior Decorations Inc., according to a press release from Zeches. The designation means she is an “interior professional with the skills and knowledge necessary to remodel or modify a home to meet the unique needs of aging boomers, seniors, or disabled owners or their visitors,” the release states.
The designation is made by the National Association of Home Builders, in partnership with the AARP and Home Innovation Research Labs.
