On U.S. 17, there’s a yellow cinder block with a courtyard bar where everybody’s welcome — all ages, on Harleys, afoot or in autos, snowbirds and locals. Don’t let that obnoxious “For Sale” sign out front put you off — Tilly’s Tap is open for business.
They’re chowing down on chili and kraut dogs out back, where Sunday afternoon Bikes & Blues has bragging rights to the best local blues. The inside bar is lit up like Christmas, with colored lights tangoing alongside luminary Corona bottles, Tilly’s Tap signs, and such sayings as “The Liver Is Evil, It Must Be Punished” and “Beer — The Reason I Get up in the Afternoon.”
