While July home sales in Charlotte County were up only marginally over last July, August is shaping up to be a banner month, with pending home sales spiking 32 percent over June, and 34 percent over June 2013, according to real estate brokerage firm Michael Saunders & Co., in a report released Monday.
July’s slowdown in home sales spread to Sarasota County, with sales falling 5.8 percent last month, versus July 2013, and down 14.4 percent from June. In Charlotte, homes sales fell 14.4 percent from June to July of this year, but rose 1.5 percent last month, when compared with July 2013, according to the report.
