I n the roughly eight months since she bought her $360 Samsung Galaxy tablet at Best Buy in Port Charlotte, Mary Norman has had it in for repairs three times for the same reason: The unit won’t turn back on or recharge. All told, the tablet’s been out for repair almost two months.
Twice, she sent it back to Samsung. She asked customer relations to have the tablet replaced, but says Samsung reps told her they couldn’t do it. After the third time, she was allowed to go to Best Buy, where the battery was replaced. But the tablet stopped working again last week.
