Six more sentinel chickens tested positive for West Nile Virus infection in Sarasota County last week.

In September, six cases were reported. So far this year, the Centers for Disease Control reported Sarasota had 23 chickens test positive for West Nile Virus and three for St. Louis encephalitis.
